BIOGRAPHY
A tenacious and innovative priest. UNESCO recognized him as an "Educator and Humanist" and Pope John Paul II canonized him.
He invited others to serve God in the heart of the world, in everyday life, bringing faith and vocation to one’s tasks.
Poveda proposed the option of a life fully given to God, a life also fully human and perfected by the divine.

The author's publications are numerous and varied in genre. They include spiritual writings, education works, booklets on various topics, newspaper and magazine articles, and numerous lectures or oral presentations. His epistolary writings include more than 2,600 letters.
A team of specialists in History, Philology, Pedagogy, Philosophy, and Theology have planned a Critical Edition of the author’s writings and they have planned to publish eight volumes.
